About the event

This new training "How to break difficult news" is funded by Oscar's Wish Foundation in memory of Theo Giles.

Written and delivered by Clinical Psychologist and Trauma specialist- Dr Kara Davey

Kara is also a dedicated Trustee of Oscar’s Wish Foundation who is passionate about supporting organisations & provide training to make change in the workplace.

This training will cover-

* The psychological impact of baby loss and factors affecting coping

* Tips on improving sensitivity of delivery of difficult news.

Supporting Partners and Practical information and Signposting.

* Looking at Case Examples

* Your well-being and Q&A

This training is offered to sonographers, Bereavement midwives and all professionals who have to break difficult news across University Hospital Sussex sites (The Princess Royal Hospital, The Royal Sussex Hospital, Worthing Hosptial and Chichister Hospital)

The afternoon will run from 

1.30pm- 4.30pm with a comfort break (dining room)
