Walk to Remember 2024

This event is about being together, walking together and honouring our little ones together at the beautiful The Macs Farm, Ditchling

Date- Sunday 6th October 2024

Times- Arrive from 3pm (Walk starts at 5pm)

Venue- The Mac’s Farm, Ditchling

Cost- £3 per child £5 per adult (to help cover costs)

How does it work?

• We will set off at 5pm with a calm, beautiful lantern walk during the early evening just before the sun sets across the fields. (Sunset is around 6.25pm) Taking a gentle walk or stroll around the farm (it takes approx 30- 45minutes) together, in your group or alone if you wish.

• The gentle stroll will offer peace, reflection and calm out in nature while lit with lanterns and gentle flickers lighting the way as dusk sets

• Both before and after the walk we will have the bar open for hot and cold drinks/ alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase in the beautiful Nest Box based at the start of the walk.

(We ask that only food and drink brought purchased here are consumed please)

• A food van (more info coming soon) will be providing food for you to purchase too.

The tickets purchased for this event will cover the cost of your lantern bag and tea light to carry with you on your walk. (Please note for safety this will be an LED candle) to take on your walk of love and remembrance.

• The idea is that the walk is a slow gentle stroll through the little woodlands, out in nature and across the field rather than a marathon walk/speed walk so please bare in mind that all ages are very welcome.

• Coming together before and after the walk offers us all time to reflect, to meet you and chat to families- which provides us another wonderful way of supporting families in our community.

Times

• Attendees can arrive from 3pm to feed the chickens, play in the stunning woodlands (play area) and get drinks/food before we set off on our walk at 5pm

• Please note that Feeding the chickens will be payable and the chicken feed can be purchased from the NEST BOX bar as required. It really is great fun!

Farm rules

We are SO grateful to The Macs Farm for allowing us to host our sponsored “Walk to Remember” on their farm and we promise to adhere to their rules to keep us all safe, respect their land and the nature around us-(especially the choirs!) once you have brought your tickets you will be sent some hints and tips of how to keep safe on the farm and during the walk 🤍
