Helping practitioners and families navigate grief with care and confidence
When a new baby is expected, children often share in the family’s excitement ~ talking, planning, and imagining their new role as a big brother or sister.
But when the devastating news comes that the baby has sadly died, finding the right words to explain and comfort children can feel overwhelming.
Explaining miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death is incredibly difficult. You may worry about saying the wrong thing or not knowing how to support a grieving child and their family.
💬 How We Can Help
We’re here to guide you through this sensitive process.
Our funded Sibling Support Resource Pack has been created to help practitioners and settings feel confident and supported in these moments.
By signing up, you are pledging to:
🤍Provide the best possible care for children affected by the death of a baby sibling
🤍Reach out for advice, signposting, and guidance whenever needed
🤍Use resources that prioritise honesty, understanding, and emotional well-being
📦 What’s Included in the Resource Pack
Our carefully curated pack contains:
Beautifully written books created with empathy and understanding, keeping the sibling’s experience at heart
Helpful FAQs and practical guidance for answering children’s questions with honesty and authenticity
Information and signposting to additional support and trusted organisations
❓Common Practitioner Questions
You may find yourself asking:
Where can I find suitable resources?
What kind of activities or materials might help?
How do I start such a difficult conversation?
Our pack has been designed to help you answer these questions with confidence and compassion.
